Dhaka, March 14, 2021 (PR) - The Energy and Mineral Resources Division (EMRD) has signed a record of discussion with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for technical assistance to formulate 'Integrated Energy and Power Master Plan'.

 

Energy and Mineral Resources Additional Secretary AKM Fazlul Haque and JICA Bangladesh Chief Representative Yoho Hayakawa signed the agreement.

 

The goal of the integrated master plan will be to combine low-carbon energy systems with energy security and sustainable economic development. It will be based on a combination of different energy balances and energy supply mixing conditions and will set long-term targets for 2030, 2041 and 2050.

 

Joint secretary of power division Dr Shah Md Helal Uddin and Economic Relations Joint Secretary Shahriar Quader were present on the occasion.
